The women's center is an associated student’s advocacy program that focuses on promoting social justice and combating misogyny at San Francisco State University. The AS Women’s center is aimed at providing a safe place for all womxn identifying students by providing an abundance of resources. This includes free tampon and pad services that are L.chlorine-free and organic, free pregnancy tests which are available for students after filling out a confidential request form, a library and books that are available to visitors, a safe space for breastfeeding and pumping, as well as assisting anyone who is faced with sexual assault, domestic violence, housing/food insecurities with references and resources that are on campus or locally available. In addition to their variety of resources available, they also host numerous workshops throughout the year pertaining to self defense, safety, womxn health, intersectional feminism, and social justice education.
