San Francisco State Counseling Department 

 

Mission: The SF State Counseling Department's main goal is to educate future generations of counselor leaders who understand that to reach liberation within communities one must acknowledge and combine multiple approaches towards practicing counseling. The counseling program affords professionals the skills they need to pursue social justice work through based strength healing and wellness.  

The SF State Counseling department can help you find information regarding organizations and associations which offer internships and open job opportunities which can be used to build your resume and experience for once you graduate. In addition they provide resources to obtain your state license and how to obtain your master's degree at the most affordable cost. Furthermore, they offer provide a list of required courses for each specialization within the counseling including College Counseling, Clinical Mental Health Counseling and more!
