Summary:

SFSU GUPS is an on-campus organization for Palestinian students. They have had a presence on campus since 1973. The GUPS is dedicated to raising awareness of the Palestinian plight in America and abroad, and educating others on their struggle for freedom. At this time, they continue to host virtual and in-person events to commemorate significant Palestinian events, such as the creation of the Edward Said Mural and the Deir Yassin Massacre. The GUPS also holds peaceful protests, such as Resistance Through the Arts, in which members came together to protest ethnic cleansing and the occupation of Palestine.

Evaluation:

The General Union of Palestinian Students is conveniently located in the Cesar Chavez Student Center, so it is easily accessible while school is in-person. Although members do continue to meet every Thursday at 5 pm, no upcoming events have been announced.
