Yoga was created over 3000 years  ago however it has recently come to Skokie since 2015. It is near Village Inn Pizzeria, St. Peter's Catholic Church, and the Habens Funeral Home and Crematory. Scott and his wife run the yoga place. When asked about why Scot  t wanted to open, he stated "I always wanted to open a business. I was on the Skokie chamber merchant. There was also no competition within a 1 mile radius." Scott received the name North Branch Yoga from a friend who had opened a business of the same name. He opened the yoga place in January of 2015. In January, when business started, it was incredibly slow and there was not that much business. The motivation behind North Branch was to provide yoga to the citizens of Skokie. What makes them unique is that they are the only yoga place within a fairly large radius. Most of the customers that come to North Branch Yoga are usually children of young age and mothers in their 30's and 40's. In Scott's own words, "filling the spot in the street was their most proud accomplishment." According to Scott, when you run a business you should start to have a gut, be smart and have money. Lots and lots of money. When asked about what he would do differently, Scott stated that he would get more space. We asked what he would say to the new starting businesses, and he said that it's hard to sell things online.
