Originating  in 1997 as a tool to help organizations have an online presence, SkokieNet evolved into a repository for local news, history, and personal stories. SkokieNet facilitated the development of partnerships that worked to supply unique information about Skokie to audiences both inside and outside of the community.

You can visit the SkokieNet archive on Internet Archive’s Wayback Machine, and see SkokieNet pages dating back to 1998.

SkokieNet was retired in September 2015, but Skokie residents still have an online community portal in SkokieWiki.  Community members are able to contribute all the things they know and love about Skokie to SkokieWiki. While you are here, take a tour of the site or jump right in and start adding your expertise.
