Sweetie Pie's
Sweetie Pies is a family owned bakery in Skokie. It has been run for nine years, and shows no sign of slowing down. The family had a passion for baking, with Dana, one of the owners, going to The French Pastry School in Chicago, and Arden winning a pie contest. While talking to one of the owners, he talked about how the community support he received was overwhelming, and it's easy to see why it's so loved. Their cakes are incredibly intricate, their coffee the best you can get in Skokie, and for something savory, they strongly recommended their bacon and cheddar scones. It's also a great place for all ages. I've taken older uncles and aunts, younger cousins, and friends my age, and they've all left loving something new, Sweetie Pie's is a home away from home, a great bakery, and an incredible addition to Skokie.
