The Kiwanis Centennial Garden is located near the golf course on Los Osos Valley Road. It was originally called the "purple pipe" garden because it is irrigated using reclaimed/recycled water from the wastewater treatment facility (the golf course already uses such water for its irrigation needs). It is the first community garden in California to use recycled water. It opened in April, 2018. It has some forty plots available for people to plant. The garden is a project of One Cool Earth.
