An overhyped "reef" break about 1/2 mile south of the Sandspit called Hazard Canyon exists. Either walk the beach to it or drive your car a little farther south. Park at the bottom of the road and bring all your surfer buddies from So-Cal as you can. The local wave riders appreciate as much exposure as they can as Hazard Canyon seems to be populated by average surfers. If pros and camera crews can expose the break, everyone's surfing might improve.
