Toastmasters is a peer-mentoring and practice group for people who want to improve their public speaking and leadership skills. There are a number of Toastmasters chapters in the San Luis Obispo area, including:

• SLO Motion Toastmasters (http://slomotion.toastmastersclubs.org/) which meets Mondays, mid-day, at the CalTrans building at Higuera & Madonna
• SLO Toastmasters Club 83 (http://www.slotoastmasters.org/) which meets early Thursday mornings at the County Government Center on Monterey
• SLO Noontime Toastmasters (http://slonoontime.toastmastersclubs.org/) which meets mid-day on Tuesdays at Bang the Drum brewery on Orcutt
