Environmental Rock is a yearly event at The Hobbit that aims to raise awareness about environmental issues and groups in the local area. In the day, the festival is family-friendly, and we have stalls out back and music to accompany, with great food and a selection of ales and other drinks on offer by The Hobbit. In the evening, the music takes on a heavier tone as me move inside and turn up the amps!
Previous stallholders include Friends of the Earth, Greenpeace, the Woodcraft Folk, and Southampton University Conservation Volunteers. We've also featured many local acts such as Southampton University FolkSoc, The One Man Loop Pedal Band, Hair Force One, and the Southampton Ukulele Jam.
The next Environmental Rock will be entering the planning stages soon, so get in touch if you'd like to help out, hold a stall, or perform!
