Henson Robinson Zoo

The Henson Robinson Zoo is a part of the Springfield Park District (Click here). It has animals from Australia, Africa, Asia and North and South America. There are exhibits from more than 80 species of native and exotic animals. Check out their Facebook page (Click here).

Only Saturdays and Sundays from 10am to 4pm

The Henson Robinson Zoo is a smaller zoo and relies on volunteers throughout the year for many reasons, from office work to greeting visitors to help with the grounds and events. Regardless of the size of a zoo, zoos need long term interns, regular volunteers, or a one time deal. Even though zoos aren’t as busy during the winter, they could still use some help with tasks like decorating for the holidays.
