We also have multiple parades held throughout the year. We have a booming arts community that has its own unique building murals scattered within the city. St pete has a booming culinary diversity as last I counted we have over 100 restaurants to choose from. Not to forget we also have 6 theaters/stages that hold events, shows, conventions, all year long.
The locals here are a diverse range of Florida born natives to relocated families and retirees, all are humble and pleasant with a welcoming hello and smile.
Only a 15 min drive/uber/taxi from downtown St pete is our world famous beaches. St Pete beach has been awarded best beach in america several times in the past decade and there are plenty of activities to do while visiting.
Also starting in the downtown area st pete has one of the longest continual bike trails in the state, spanning over 60 miles.
Downtown St Petersburg also has a monthly First Friday celebration that closes the central ave for a 1 block area to let people drink dance and enjoy the downtown life from 6-10pm every 1st friday of the month.
There are also several Boutique hotels in the downtown area that add the charm to your visit with authentic 1930 style accommodations , several worth mentioning are the Avalon Hotel (Art Deco decor), also right next door is its sister property the Hollander hotel (Post Prohibition decor) which was just nominated for 9 "Best of" awards for the St. Petersburg downtown area. We also have the Inn on third, hotel Indigo and the Ponce De Leon all with their own unique charm.
