There are electric barbeques in the park adjoining the beach, public toilets, children's playground and Tamarama Cafe also serves up coffee, food & snacks. The Tamarama Surf Life Saving Club is located on the cliffs at the north end of the beach and a Life Guard tower is on the beach itself.
Tamarama Beach is also becomes a sculpture park once a year in November during the Sculpture By The Sea exhibition.
Tamarama Beach is also a popular Beach Volleyball location, helped by its sheltered position. Most weekends (and some weekdays) a ragtag group of players, covering a wide range of skill levels, set-up nets and have a hit in the Tamarama sun. Players communicate and organise through the Eastern Suburbs Beach Volleyball Social Club Facebook Group.
