EF classes

We are a group of international students from Europe: Mattia, Serena, Astrid- from Italy; Thomas- from Germany; Thao- a Vietnamese girl from Russia. We came to Tallahassee to explore the American lifestyle, improve our English, find new friends and have fun. EF classes are the main things that we did in Tallahassee. EF is a world wide organization that helps people to study foreign languages. We stayed with our kind host families for a month, going to classes in the morning and having fun in the afternoon. TCC (Tallahassee Community College) is the school we studied in during these four weeks; it is a big college where you can find clean classrooms and restrooms and many green open areas. In every classroom there are a computer and a projector that were used by both teachers and students. We had two lessons a day, from Monday to Friday: our first lesson lasted 2 hours and the second one 1 hour and 20 minutes. Too long? No, classes were so interesting that we didn't notice the time. We had also a 20 minutes break where we could hang out with international friends and eat our snacks. In our first class we improved our English by doing exercise, studying new words, listening audios, watching videos and working in international groups. In our second lesson we learned about American culture, discussed about the differences between our countries. Our teachers meek the lessons very interesting using multimedia, including American history and showing us their culture in comparison to ours.
