Amos P. Godby High School was named for a former Leon County superintendent of schools. Sixty-eight percent are African American, Twenty-one percent of the students are white, six percent are Hispanic and about five percent are classified as Asian, Native American or Mixed. Godby is the English Language Learners (ELL) Service Center in Leon county and a Title I school (which focuses on achievement disadvantaged youth).
