The City of Hobart is the local government area based in the centre of Hobart. It comprises the Hobart CBD and immediate surrounding suburbs.
It is governed by the Hobart City Council. Being a state capital, the mayor is known as the Lord Mayor of Hobart. The Lord Mayor is currently Damon Thomas.
