Sun Obelisk is a sculpture by Dale Eldred, located in Promenade Park. It is a 60 foot tower with 80 glass refractive panels designed to generate spectral fields. The result is a rainbow that moves as the path of the sun moves across the sculpture. For that reason the sculpture reflects both time and color. Sun Obelisk is made of stainless steel, glass, and reflective tape.
