History

This was the first Car Sharing network in Toronto. Co-founded by Liz Reynolds and Kevin McLaughlin. After a legal dispute, Liz Reynolds left and founded DashCar, a rival car sharing service which is now out of business. Kevin McLaughlin was approached by Zipcar before their entry into the Toronto Market, on a potential partnership. After showing AutoShare's operations in good faith to Zipcar, Zipcar entered Toronto with a rival service.
