Garage Sales are a good way to recycle items in your home that you need to clear out and make a little bit of money too! The best time to run a garage sale in Toronto would be late spring or summer, when the weather is hopefully nice and sunny in Toronto ;)

Pick dates and times when you can devote time to this sale. You'll need time to

• Gather up various articles
• Advertise - making flyers, inviting friends & family and generally spreading the word.
• Set up on the day of the sale.
• Run the sale full time

Sometimes you can get some neighbours into the act and have a few of your neighbours involved.

Its a good idea to have plenty of change on hand - both coins and bills

Be prepared to haggle with shoppers - some see this has half the fun.
