Junction Arts Festival - Sept 9 to 13, 2009

September 9 to 13, 2009

Dundas West Street Closure - September 12th & 13th

The 17th annual Junction Arts Festival is a street celebration of the arts, located in Toronto’s west end on Dundas Street West in the Junction.

Over five days, the festival presents visual, musical, literary, performance, new media and site-specific works to well over 150,000 people and on the weekend it transforms Dundas Street West into a pedestrian-only, urban cultural destination.

The festival footprint is from Keele Street to Quebec Avenue and consists of a number of zones: The Junction City Square, which features the train platform Main Stage; The KidZone Adventure Playground; The Red Hot Art Spots; The Green Village and the Juried Art Exhibit.

Intermingled throughout these zones local businesses and street vendors offer a great selection of food and merchandise, as well as great one of a kind works of art. Mixed in for you to discover, are ongoing performances of dance, comedy, travelling minstrels, writer and poet recitals and kids entertainment.

The Junction Arts Festival is more than a street party – it is the celebration and recognition of our innovative and creative community. We welcome one and all to come to the festival and discover the Junction.
