Lower Queen Station is an unfinished second level of the existing Queen Station.

The original idea was to create an east-west streetcar line along Queen Street and and make a subway connection at Yonge Street, similar to the arrangements currently in use at St. Clair West Station.

Many people pass through Lower Queen Station everyday without knowing it. When walking through the underpass from the southbound and northbound platforms of Queen Station.

2010-02-01 22:26:50   I'm not sure if that is the case I have actually been in there and have seen the dummy station. From what I have heard it was set up for the anticipation that sometime in the future they would build a subway line along Queen St and they have the station built already. Although that was back in the 50's. My Uncle was a high ranking management at the TTC and he arranged for me to see the station many years ago. Daniel ......... Toronto

Here's a picture of what you are thinking about I don't think that is what was planned on the Queen St plan, this was taken at the Union Station exit onto Queens Quay.
