Mimico Children's Choir : Now in its seventh year of music-making, the Mimico Children’s Choir is an affordable, inclusive community-based children's choir offered in conjunction with the Mimico Baptist Church. Local parents and professional musicians Mary Bella and Jennifer Robinson direct the choir, which has two divisions: the Juniors (grades 1 - 3) and the Seniors (grades 4 - 6). http://www.mimicochildrenschoir.com

Housing and Accommodations

Traditional bungalows and detached homes are sharing the space with newer condos and semi detached homes and townhouses. Most recently there has been big condo growth in the Mystic Pointe and Waterfront areas. Shopping is primarily limited to small independent store fronts with the big boxes on the neighbourhood outskirts on Queensway.

Transit

Mimico GO station is at Royal York Rd, where in 2006 there was an accident that caused congestion for the better part of a day.

Major Streets and Intersections

Royal York is the heart of the North/South throughway with Evans ave, The Queensway and Lakeshore Ave being the main East West. Summer of 2007 has seen parts of Royal York closed in front of Etobicoke School of the Arts Major thoroughfares through this neighbourhood, if any. Existing ones or those planned for the future. Major North-South streets. Major East-West streets.

Parks and Recreation

Indoor outdoor pools, wading pools, waterslides, splashpads, arenas, rinks, golf courses, etc Off leash dog walking areas. Nice places to walk and talk.

Schools

George R Gauld Public School is a small TDSB school with grades ranging from JK to grade 5. In the 2006/2007 school year Mr Menzies was the school principal and Ms Jennifer Hall was the kindergarten teacher. With less than 250 students this friendly school is a true Mimico landmark.
