- Toronto's plans (supported by mayor John Tory) for the Eglinton East LRT extension are on track! The city is planning to extend the Line 5 in a single go, instead of splitting it in two stages. The extension will end at the Malvern Town Centre, adding 18 more stations (meaning it will bring Line 5's number of stations up from 25 to 43 once it opens).
