Mary Legge conducting a Penthelia Singers rehearsal on October 11 2006.

Penthelia Singers is a small women's choir in Toronto, Ontario.

The choir was formed in 1997 by enthusiastic alumnae from the Earl Haig Girls' Chamber Choir.

The group was named after Penthelia, an ancient Egyptian priestess-musician believed by some to be the true author of the Iliad.

The repertoire includes music spanning from the Renaissance to the 21st century, in a multitude of languages.
