Federal and Provincial Electoral Ridings are the same. The City of Toronto has Federal, Provincial, Municipal and Education political boundaries.

Presently, Federal and Provincial electoral districts are the same.

22 ridings are completely within the City of Toronto's borders

1 electoral district, Pickering-Scarborough East bleeds east into Pickering, for a total of 23 ridings.

Toronto has 44 Muncipal Wards derived from an earlier total of 22 Provincial Ridings which covered the entire Amalgamated City of Toronto. Municipal Ward boundaries are currently based on the second most recent Federal/Provincial boundaries.

Each of those 22 electoral districts were cut in half, resulting in Toronto having 44 City Councillors.

This is down from 56 City Councillors at the time of Amalgamation.
