Simply Swagg Dance Cipher

The fresh dancers of Simply Swagg will be running a dance cipher for anybody to get down. If you want to get down to the boogie and throw down some of your freshest moves, this cipher would be the perfect opportunity to show your skills and get the love that you deserve.

Battle of The Barbers Nine of the city’s best barbers will assemble to set up a live barber shop to provide discounted hair cuts to those in attendance. An instant classic, and the first of it’s kind here in Toronto, Battle of the Barbers has rounded up 9 of the cities best to battle it out in the hair cutting clash of the century. Best of the Beat Makers Boi 1da, Producer of Drake’s Billboard Chart topping single “Best I ever Had”, will team up with Toronto super-producers Mega Man, Rich Kidd, & Soundsmith Productions to play a collection of their favourite beats from each others production catalogues, live in front of a packed Fresh Fair audience! It’s a chance for each producer to show love to their fellow beat makers and their craft.

YOUnited S.O.S. – Stand Out Showdown 8 different performing acts have been chosen to take part in the Stand Out Series performance arts mentorship program. Each performer has been competing for the chance to perform at the Manifesto Festival Main Stage on Sept. 20th at Nathan Phillips Square. The 2 Winners from the qualifying S.O.S. rounds at the previous YOUnited community festivals, will perform to settle the score for the title of the YOUnited Stand Out Performer.

The Graffiti Exchange Over 100ft of Graffiti Canvases from the previous Manifesto Festivals will be set up on display for the viewing pleasure of the Scarborough residents and others in attendance. The bright colours and intrikit styles will provide a fresh back drop to the Fresh Fair!

Involve Youth Drumming Circle Drummers and drum enthusiasts from Involve Youth will help form drum circles to create rhythmic jam sessions for people to dance and move to the sound of the drum. Bring your own drum if you want to get down with some pa-rum-pum-pum-pum!

Southside Hip Hop Chess Tournament

Hip hop and chess enthusiasts can play an up-down–tempo style of chess while listening to the sounds of Hip Hop. This style was made popular by RZA, the legendary Wu-Tang Clan Producer. Tournament winner will receive prizes. (to register for the tournament, contact [email protected])

The Bank Shot B-Ball Shoot Out Ballers can come out and test their skills in an open basketball shoot-out competition. There will be prizes and giveaways to the highest scoring shooters. Come earlier to sign up for the tournament!

Live Workshops A series of 1 hour workshops will be scheduled through out the event for people to take part in. Workshops include Muay Thai Kick Boxing, Chess, Djembe Drumming, Dancing, style & fashion, plus more. (if you’d like to run a workshop, contact [email protected])

Fresh Fair Vendors Market Vendors and merchandises will set up shop to sell and promote their latest and freshest products. T-shirts, clothing, hats, jewelry, accessories, arts, and crafts will all be up for grabs at this years Fresh Fair vendor market. GOODBOY T-shirt Design Contest The good boys at Goodboy Clothing will be collecting the freshest T-shirt designs from designers and artists all of over the city. The top 5 illest designs will be chosen, printed on to some T-shirts, and displayed at the Fresh Fair. These shirts will be one-of-a-kind limited edition item so come check them out while they are still around. (to submit your design, email [email protected])
