History

This village is named after Lord Seaton, a former Lieutenant Governor of Canada. The Village was laid out on the old Crookshank farm in the 1850's. Residential development in the area on began around 1888, when Seaton Village was annexed by the Old City of Toronto.

Housing and Accommodations

Most of the homes here are semi-detached Victorian style houses, constructed in the 1890's and early 1900's. Many students who can't afford to live in The Annex but wish to remain in walking distance to the UofT St. George campus, choose Seaton Village instead as its more affordable.
