Some Definitions for a Shortcut...

• A route shorter than the usual one
• A more direct route than the customary one.
• A means of saving time or effort.

Toronto is a big city and there will be times when you need to get somewhere in a hurry, SOMETIMES taking a shortcut can get you there...however I think somewhere implied in a shortcut is that there can be a cost of some kind associated it. A wise man once said "A shortcut is the longest distance between two points..." - Douglas Adams.
