TTC Pizza Tuesday at the Bus Platform level of Kennedy Station. TTC Employees sell Pizza Pizza squares for $1.00 to raise money for the United Way.

Every Tuesday starting September 11 to November 6, 2007, TTC employees will be selling a pizza square for only $1.00.

All the proceeds go to the TTC / United Way Campaign.

You can get either a pepperoni and cheese or just a plain cheese pizza square.

This year's United Way campaign is almost over but and the TTC is still hard at work selling pizza all over the system.

The irony is that this happens to be the same TTC that once tried to have eating food banned inside Subways and on surface vehicles until someone noted there was a MacDonalds take-out inside the Dundas West Station.

The pizza comes from Pizza Pizza who were the only company able to supply in the quantities and timelines that the TTC needed.

The TTC pays $10.80 per pizza. Just under half of the sale price goes to the United Way. The total pizza order is about $300,000.

2008-09-10 10:17:51   Wednesday is the new Tuesday for TTC Pizza day in 2008. I've only seen some signs posted inside at various TTC stations but nothing official yet. So I'll start the TTC Pizza Wednesday and update it with info for the 2008 campaign. —HimySyed
