Federal Riding

Currently Trinity-Spadina is represented in Ottawa by Olivia Chow, of the New Democratic Party. She was elected in the 2006 federal election, running against Liberal Party incumbent Tony Ianno who had represented the riding since 1993. Prior to Chow's entrance into federal politics, she was a city councillor for several wards in the Trinity-Spadina riding, including Wards 20 and 24.

Provincial Riding

In Queens Park, Trinity-Spadina is currently represented by Ontario New Democratic Party member, Rosario Marchese. Marchese was first elected in the 1990 general election in Ontario along with Bob Rae's majority NDP government. He narrowly beat incumbent Liberal Party member Bob Wong. In the elections since then he has increased his margins of victory, including the most recent election in 2003, when he beat Liberal Party candidate Nellie Pedro by more than 6,000 votes.

Municipal Ward

Within the City Council, Ward 20 Trinity-Spadina is now represented by Adam Vaughan. Vaughan was elected in the 2006 municipal election. Prior to Vaughan, the seat the was held by Olivia Chow. When Chow stepped down to run in the 2006 federal election, the Council appointed Martin Silva to represent the riding until the municipal election in November, 2006. Chow had been a city councillor for the area since 1991.
