2010-01-05 21:01:06 In the 1980s, the Lakeview, which had been empty for years, opened as Jerry's.
It became a favourite location for shooting movies and commercials. A scene is Tom Cruise's 1988 film, Cocktail, was shot there. In it, a waitress dumps a plate of food over Cruise's head — in the booth where my wife and I usually sat when we went there.
