Eleanor Hill was the founder and director of Resonance, a non-profit, ecumenical program that opened on August 1, 1977 in a parsonage-like building donated by St. John's Episcopal Church and located two blocks east of 41st Street and Lewis Avenue. She was born in Kansas City, grew up in both Chicago and Los Angeles, and settled in Tulsa with her husband, Clifton Hill, after World War II. She studied to become a deacon in her church, St. Dunstan's, and was ordained in 1977.
