Buses are a form of transportation seen around Tustin. They come in only a few varieties and are easily distinguishable from each other. People on the road tend to avoid buses, as they are big and stop frequently, however people on the buses tend to avoid cars, because they are big and stop infrequently.

OCTA Buses

Buses run by the Orange County Transport Authority are the public transportation in and around Tustin and the whole of Orange County, and transport mainly commuters and sometimes students. These buses stop at bus stops around town. The local bus hub is around the perimeter of Larwin Square, most Tustin buses stop there at one time or another. There are a few types of OCTA Buses, each with different features, but all are handicapped accessible and offer a comfy and cheap ride across and out of town.

School Buses

They are yellow and operated by the Tustin Unified School District. They transport students to schools and back, as well as taking them on field trips, or to sporting events. Sometimes strange colored school buses are seen that are typically transporting non-local students to or through Tustin. These buses have a distinctive shape, and come in normal sized and shorter varieties.

Charter Buses

These are behemoth machines that typically are seen cruising down the highway on long distance trips. Occasionally they can be seen picking up or dropping off students or other individuals from schools, churches, and other meeting places. These buses are run by private bus companies that offer an affordable rate to travel across the state or nation, people taking these buses tend to be going somewhere far and exciting. The nearest place to reliably board such a bus is at the Santa Ana Train Station.
