A relatively small bicycle shop that opened up quite some time ago, owned apparently by Don, and run by a small staff of regular employees. They offer service and bicycle repair at a decent rate, and they sell bikes too, specializing in Schwinn, but they sell many others as well. Probably one of the oldest bike stores left in Tustin, they are in the same plaza where Santiago Cyclery opened. As opposed to the other store, this place tends to have a less professional feel, here you would buy a bike for your kid, or yourself to ride around town, to school, work or what not for the fun of it, as opposed to the professional cyclist demeanor of the other shop, this place has more of a family feel.

2009-08-24 13:42:06   "Family Feel" my ass!! The guy that works at that store (Chris P.) is a complete asshole! I don't know how that store survives with that douche bag running that shop! Very unprofessional, asks too many personal questions and lies to customers. Yeah, I can see why that store is always packed with customers! —72.211.223.137

2009-10-29 16:05:07   The owner sold me a bike tire, I even had the little bike with me and when I got home it did not fit, so when I went to return it with a receipt he would not return it ??? go figure and was very rude. I will never go back to that store ever again. —70.136.154.216

2010-12-30 10:59:04   Do these people plan on staying in business with their screwed up attitudes? Just from a phone call I would not even want to waste my time or money at that place. If I talked to people as they do I would be fired from my job. They need a good kick in the but to adjust their attitudes, I'll just go NEXT!! —72.129.46.154

2012-03-03 14:27:46   When I went in to get an estimate for repairs on my bike, I was told by pony tail guy that he couldn’t do it. He acted like I wanted it fixed right then. When I said all I wanted was an estimate, he came up with an amount that I thought was ok. When I asked if the estimate was low what would happen, I got the feeling he was insulted. I took the bike in on Tuesday and was promised the bike back on Saturday. When I called on Thursday, I was told it was ready. I have to wonder why I didn’t get a call saying it was ready. When I went to pick the bike up, I was charged 23% more than the estimate. So much for his knowledge and being insulted. That he didn’t call me to ok the increase is really bad also. This guy is rude and I will never go back.

2012-04-26 17:50:43   The bolt on my handlebar stem was stripped and I could no longer tighten it using an Allen wrench. I went in (without my bike) to ask what my options were. The guy with a ponytail was curt and bordering rude, but explained that he wouldn't be able to swap one in, but that I'd need to bring my bike in so he could pop out the wedge and put a new bolt and wedge in. I was satisfied with that, as I didn't want to replace the whole stem so I brought it in. I dropped my bike off two days later, explained once again that the bolt was stripped and I wanted to replace the bolt. My handlebars were loose (because the bolt can't be tightened and because it's easier to get my bike in the car when I can move them). He said no problem, he'd take care of it and it should be ready tomorrow.

I came to pick up my bike and my bike was sitting in front of the store WITH THE SAME BOLT TIGHTENED INTO MY HANDLEBARS. I pointed out that this was the same bolt and he said "I didn't charge you for parts". WHAT??!?!!!? You charged me $18 to tighten my handlebars with the same faulty/stripped bolt that I paid to have replaced! WHAT. THE. HECK. I pointed this out (trying to remain calm, when I really wanted to cut that STUPID ponytail off and hit him with him) and he said, and I quote "too bad".

This guy is a total jerk, a scam artist and an all around horrible person. Pretty much every review is dead on. Take your money and business elsewhere. I honestly have no idea how he stays in business. I wanted to support local business and give this guy the benefit of the doubt. Turns out, he doesn't deserve it. Worst experience I've ever had in a retail store. Lesson learned. —66.27.133.198

2013-08-24 17:54:32   Came into the shop the other day with my friend to buy a beach cruiser wheel and he walks out saying "What do you need?" (in a not so friendly tone) and my friend explains as he interrupts him and tells him (and I quote) "You're going to need to bring your daddy into the store to buy this, because you have no idea what you're talking about". As I stand there wondering what just happened my friend says "But I just need-" Cut off again by Don and he proceeds to say "I will not serve you, leave my shop". And we left as I told him "I told you so" cause I had previously warned him about the ass running the shop. —76.95.144.224
