Aldi is a discount grocery store chain found in 31 states with over 1000 stores. Aldi is unique from other grocery stores in that Aldi usually carries only Aldi select brands. Occasionally, a brand name product will be offered for a limited time and supply. There are twenty different Aldi stores located around the metro area. Aldi is also unique in that you have to pay for a cart using a quarter, but once you return the cart, you get your quarter back. This helps the store to keep costs low and avoid paying their employees to return carts like other chain stores do. Also, Aldi charges for paper or plastic bags, but you can avoid this if you bring your own reusable bags or use some of their boxes. They encourage using the reusable bags to help with conservation and help save the planet.

Aldi offers fresh in-season fruit at very cheap prices compared to other supermarkets.
