Chute Square, a one acre park in Minneapolis, was named in honor of Richard Chute.  Chute was a University of Minnesota regent and director of the St. Anthony Waterpower Company. The park, located at 28 University Avenue SE, Minneapolis, is home to the Ard Godfrey House.  The house was originally built in 1849 by millwright Ard Godfrey. In 2012 park enhancements were completed.  More information can be found at http://www.minneapolisparks.org/default.asp?PageID=1357
