The Nook has been in St. Paul since 1938. Currently, it is Casper and Runyon's Nook. However, it has a history of being Mickey's Nook, The Nook, Wally's Nook and even a gas station and a horse barn. In 2000, Ted Casper and Mike Runyon got the famous burger recipes from Mickey Braunsen, the former owner and cook for 35 years. The Nook has been featured on the famous Food Network Show "Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives." It's also been features on other places like the Travel Channel. Their specials rotate monthly, so be sure to check these out. They also have specials different nights of the week. If you go to the lower level of The Nook, there is a bowling alley and you can bowl and eat your burger.
