Court Street and West Court Street together run east-west across western and north-central Woodland, just north of Main Street. Court Street becomes West Court Street west of West Street.
Court Street
Court Street runs from West Street to East Street. It is the first thoroughfare north of Dead Cat Alley (on the other side of which is Main Street). Court Street intersects Grand Avenue (which heads north only from Court Street), the south branch from Fire Alley, Cleveland Street, Walnut Street, Elm Street, College Street, 1st Street, 2nd Street (south only), 3rd Street, 4th Street, 5th Street (north only), and 6th Street. Along the way, it passes by the Woodland Fire Department Station 1, Nugget, the Woodland Public Library, Yolo County Public Administration, Post Office, El Pantano Marisquería, Maria's Cantina, and Morgan's Mill.
Court Street has been planted with street trees by the city. The street trees include five invasive weed species: Glossy Privet (Ligustrum lucidum), Purple-leaf Plum/Cherry Plum (Prunus cerasifera), Flowering Pear/Callery Pear (Pyrus calleryana), Black Locust (Robinia pseudoacacia 'Purple Robe'), and Chinese Tallow Tree (Triadica sebifera). However, one street tree species on Court Street is Valley Oak (Quercus lobata), which is native to Woodland. Additionally, three other species of street trees on Court Street are native to other parts of California: Modesto Ash/Arizona Ash (Fraxinus velutina), Coast Live Oak (Quercus agrifolia), and California Fan Palm (Washingtonia filifera). Other non-native street trees on Court Street include Trident Maple (Acer buergerianum), Japanese Maple (Acer palmatum), Red Maple (Acer rubrum), European Hornbeam (Carpinus betulus 'Fastigiata'), European Hackberry (Celtis australis), Chinese Hackberry (Celtis sinensis), Chitalpa (Chitalpa tashkentensis), Goldenrain Tree (Koelreuteria paniculata), Crape Myrtle (Lagerstroemia indica), Prairiefire Crabapple (Malus ioensis 'Prairiefire'), Edible Apple (Malus domestica), Chinese Pistache (Pistacia chinensis), London Plane (Platanus × hispanica), Holly Oak (Quercus ilex), Northern Red Oak (Quercus rubra), Cork Oak (Quercus suber), Idaho Locust (Robinia × ambigua 'Idahoensis'), Japanese Pagoda Tree (Styphnolobium japonicum), Chinese Elm (Ulmus parvifolia), English Elm (Ulmus minor 'Atinia'), and Saw-leaf Zelkova (Zelkova serrata 'Wireless').
West Court Street
West Court Street runs from West Street to a dead end just west of Sonoma Way (just short of County Road 98). It is the first thoroughfare north of West Main Street. West Court Street intersects Ashley Avenue, Imperial Street (north only), Cottonwood Street, Schuerle Street (north only), and California Street. Along the way, it passes by Apna Bazaar, Super Burrito & Taquería, Yolo County Child Support Services, and Yolo County Parks & Resource.
