Food 4 Less is a warehouse supermarket located within a larger shopping center. Items generally are lower in price than regular full service supermarkets. The items may be overstocked items, closeouts, or items that are nearing expiration. You have to bag your own groceries here. Since they have fewer employees than a normal supermarket the cost of food is priced lower.

Although Food 4 Less stores in Southern California are owned by Kroger, this Food 4 Less is not operated by Kroger. This store and others around the country are independent or owned by local wholesalers. The Woodland store is owned by the owners of Nugget. The only thing in common is that they use the Food 4 Less name.
