The Historic Nelson Ranch is Yolo County's premier horse boarding facility and horse stable. They have won numerous awards and been recognized for the quality of horse care and level of services they offer.

Ted Butler starts colts, gently, and finishes reining horses. He has some great quarter horses and paint horses available for sale. He has finished trail and ranch horses for sale. Ted is a member of the NRHA National Reining Horse Associaiton, WCRA West Coast Reining Horse Associaiton. Non Pros always welcome.

Teaches beginning to advanced Western and beginning English riding lessons and has a great kids riding program. Sabrina gives trail, equitation, horsemanship and showmanship lessons. She specializes in AQHA and APHA horses. She has finished show horses available for riding lessons to get children and adults startes off riding correctly, with a positive attitude. She will travel to Davis barns and locations for private lessons. Her prices are very reasonable. Sabrina is offering a special summer program for children and students from Davis.
We also offer lay ups and rehabilitation for horses from UC Davis veterinary hospital.

Even our cats get tired after a hard day of riding! This is Mac one of our 13 rescue barn kitties. (Please do not drop off anymore, we are not taking them). Mac loves horses and we often find him asleep on saddles, even on saddles of horses that have been tied up. He has also been known to travel with farriers and other folks visiting the ranch. Once while at a dinner at my friends home, I looked out the window and noticed a cat that looked like Mac (he had been missing for 4 months) Sure enough the had hitched a ride home in their horse trailer. They thought he belonged to one of their neighbors. 2 weeks afer that he ended up at the home of our farrier and after that another person with a horse trailer....
