West Kentucky AvenueKentucky Avenue, and East Kentucky Avenue form the northernmost major east-west thoroughfare in Woodland, spanning the entire distance from County Road 98/Highway 16 (the western boundary of Woodland) to County Road 102 (the eastern boundary of Woodland). They overlap the route of County Road 20.

West of Woodland, County Road 20 extends from County Road 98/Highway 16 west to Teichert Aggregates - Woodland Facility (just across the Magnolia Canal from Woodland). (There is also a disjunct segment of County Road 20 on the opposite side of Cache Creek.) 

East of Woodland, the road is smaller and less traveled. At County Road 102East Kentucky Avenue becomes Beamer Road (not to be confused with Beamer Street, which it does not connect to). Beamer Road is about half a mile long and does not connect to any other named streets. It ends at the private property surrounding the Cache Creek Settling Basin.

Kentucky Avenue becomes West Kentucky Avenue west of North West Street and becomes East Kentucky Avenue east of North East Street.

West Kentucky Avenue

West Kentucky Avenue runs between County Road 98/Highway 16 and North West Street. It intersects Falcon Drive, North Ashley Avenue/County Road 98B, Mallard Drive, North Cottonwood Street, Mariposa Street, and Nevada Avenue. Along the way, it passes by Jeff Roddy Memorial Park, the Yolo County Farm Bureau, and La Kora Taco Truck.

Parts of West Kentucky Avenue have been planted with street trees by the city. The street trees include Austrian Black Pine (Pinus nigra), Japanese Black Pine (Pinus thunbergii), Chinese Pistache (Pistacia chinensis), and African Sumac (Rhus lancea).

Kentucky Avenue

Kentucky Avenue runs between North West Street and North East Street. It intersects North Cleveland Street, North Walnut Street, Hilda Way, Freeman Street, North College Avenue, and Palm Avenue. Along the way, it passes by Quik Stop, MJB Welding Supply, Canevari Bros., Casa Jalisco, and Mercado del Valle.

Kentucky Avenue has been planted with street trees by the city. The street trees include Olive (Olea europaea), which is an invasive weed species. However, they also include two species that are native to WoodlandWestern Sycamore (Platanus racemosa) and Valley Oak (Quercus lobata). Additionally, Canyon Live Oak (Quercus chrysolepis) is among the street trees on Kentucky Avenue and is native to other parts of California. Other non-native street trees planted on Kentucky Avenue include Trident Maple (Acer buergerianum), Red Maple (Acer rubrum), Deodar Cedar (Cedrus deodara), Crape Myrtle (Lagerstroemia indica), English Columnar White Oak (Quercus robur 'Fastigiata'), Cork Oak (Quercus suber), Brush Cherry (Syzygium paniculatum), and Saw-leaf Zelkova (Zelkova serrata 'Wireless').

East Kentucky Avenue

East Kentucky Avenue runs between North East Street and County Road 102. It intersects Harter Avenue and Paddock Place, crosses over Interstate 5 on an overpass, and then intersects Stable Court and North Pioneer AvenueAlong the way, it passes by Yolo Lumber, Boundary Bend Olive, and West Auctions.
