Knittin' Pretty is a nice little yarn shop in Woodland. They offer classes on knitting, crochet, embroidery and felting, and a weekly knit/crochet for charity night. They carry mainstream brands like Lion Brand and Bernat as well as a selection of nicer yarns, books, and tools. The higher end yarns are kept in a room separate from the acrylics, so be sure to ask about the natural fibers when you come in. The owner, Ann, has a child-friendly room available to customers to sit and knit anytime.
Knittin' Pretty also has a birthday club; put your name and birth-date on a piece of paper by the register and receive 10% off your purchase at any time during the week of your birthday.

2009-12-02 17:08:25 I spoke with Annabelle Reynolds today while I was waiting for City Smog to open after lunch. She is looking to sell her business sometime by August 2010 so that she can retire. Since Knitter's Playground and In Sheep's Clothing recently closed, it would be a shame for another specialty yarn shop to close so soon. Is there anyone out there interested in owning a yarn store? In the mean time, she has stocked an excellent selection of gorgeous natural fiber yarns (alpaca, wool, merino, sugar cane viscose, bamboo, silks, etc) which I haven't seen at JoAnn or Walmart. I definitely recommend Knittin' Pretty for that special yarn. —StephanieStudebaker
