Pad Thai is no longer the only Thai restaurant in Woodland thanks to the addition of Bancock Thai down the street but, lucky enough it is still one of the best in the Yolo/Sac area. While their pad thai is considered to be average tasting compared to other restaurants nearby, they are well known for their curries. Several reviewers, including Mr. Woodland, have rated it the best curry in California. Most entrees are priced between $7-$11.

2007-07-04 16:06:17   They use all white meat in their curry dishes which makes them really good. Plus they have a subtle lemongrass flavor (but not an overpowering one). Definetly the best curry i have had outside of Los Angeles (and maybe the best ive ever had). The pad thai is average at best. If you want good pad thai many of the places in Davis do it quite well, but if you want curry, this place is the best. —MattHh

2007-07-26 14:48:58   I went in yesterday to pick up some food to take home. After I ordered and paid, I asked how long it would take. The lady told me that their cook wasn't at the restaurant, so I'd have to wait for her to drive there and then wait some more for her to cook our order! I told her I didn't have time to wait that long and asked for a refund. She disappeared into the kitchen, making several phone calls. After another 5 minutes of waiting, I insisted on getting my money back. She got angry and said something like "You can't expect the food to be ready in 10 minutes!" I responded with the fact that she couldn't run a restaurant with an "on call cook" without informing customers of this before they ordered. She disappeared into the kitchen again and the young man behind the register told us he didn't know how to refund money on ATM. I ended up getting my money back in cash.

I'll be driving to Davis for Thai from now on. —Aggie03

2008-02-24 19:09:07   I suppose nothing shocking here, in light of the comments before mine, but I must agree that Pad Thai has VERY good curries. I've been a couple of times and tried different dishes each time. The stir fried dishes are good, but nothing to write home about. However, the curries are great! The service was a little hit or miss, unfortunately. The waiter was anxious to fill our water glasses constantly throughout the meal, but when we were looking for boxes and the bill, he was everywhere but checking on our table for what felt like ages. Just a minor gripe and not enough to keep me away in the future since the food was so tasty. —StaceyEllis

2008-12-08 03:44:12   Try their dishes that have eggplants in it! They are so good, some of the best eggplants I ever had. Better than Sofia's Thai Kitchen and 2K Thai is definitely not even on the same level. —adamt
