Walking is good exercise, and there are plenty of great places to do it in Woodland. Woodland's many alleys can be great places to walk without fear of being hit by a car. The Farmers Central Ditch Path along the southern border of West Woodland is also a great place to walk without fear of cars. Many of Woodland's parks have walking paths, including the following:
- Campbell Park
- Dave Douglass Park and Woodside Park (with a pedestrian alley between them, referred to on the alleys page as Zamora Alley or Douglass-Woodside Parks Alley)
- East Regional Pond and Woodland Regional Park (with a short walk between them)
- Ferns Park
- Jack Slaven Park and Rick Gonzales Senior Park (with a pedestrian alley between them, referred to on the alleys page as Spring Lake Alley)
- Pioneer Park
- Ralph Harris Park
- Schneider Park and Wayne Cline Park (connected by a walking trail)
- William Crawford Senior Park (which has access to the Farmers Central Ditch Path)
