The Yolo-Solano Air Quality Management District is a public health agency with the mission of protecting human health and property from the harmful effects of air pollution. The District serves all of Yolo County and the northeastern portion of Solano County, including the cities of Vacaville, Dixon and Rio Vista. It is based in south Davis.

Yolo-Solano AQMD's programs include Don't Light Tonight and Yolo-Solano Go Clean. Its regulatory function is to permit all stationary source of air pollution emissions in the District, including gas stations, canneries, power plants, paint boothes, landfills and any business with an emergency generator. It also investigates complaints about air pollution from residents and offers air quality forecasts and real-time air quality data through the Sacramento region Spare The Air website.

The District also participates in regional planning efforts and provides guidance on CEQA reviews of projects forecasted to impact air quality.

Yolo-Solano AQMD's Board of Directors currently includes Woodland Mayor Skip Davies and Woodland-based Yolo County Supervisors Matt Rexroad and Duane Chamberlain.
