 Maria’s Cantina was developed and founded on simple principles: food and recipe should not only be of a consistent quality but should be daring as well. Treat traditions and the ingredients with respect but never lose your sense of adventure. Guests ought to be surrounded by textures and atmosphere that is immediately sincere and welcoming. Much like being at home, your surroundings should put you at ease. Service is swift, warm and memorable. No better feeling than being served quickly with a great smile by a familiar, caring face.

Maria’s Cantina was our answer to what had become the often repeated performance of the California, Mexican-American restaurant. With so many wonderful Latin recipes and traditions to pull from, we thought it was time that a Latin-oriented dining experience paired the familiar with the rare, the old with the new.

Our food philosophy is simple: start with family recipes from the old country and experiment in making them our own and never compromise on quality by committing to the use of fresh, natural ingredients prepared from scratch everyday. Our daily goal is equally simple: transport your guests to a brief vacation of original cuisine, genuine service and captivating surroundings. The atmosphere of Maria’s models the feel of an aged Sonoran village home replete with hand-carved furniture and wrought iron fixtures, while the Cantina is reminiscent of the little, Latin tavern located in the middle of town. Our patio is an escape in itself; the favorite place of regulars who like to soak in the sun and breeze with a margarita on a lazy afternoon.
