A number of local businesses are hosting charity drives this season.

• Captain Nemo’s, Wyandotte: Offers a toy drive for Epiphany Veterans Life Skills Center in Detroit, where dozens of women veterans and their children live. Runs until December 20.
• Macy's, Taylor: Believers of all ages are invited to drop off their letters to Santa at the store. For each letter received, Macy’s will donate $1 to Make-A-Wish, up to $1 million total.
• Advia Credit Union, Brownstown Township and Southgate: Partnering with the Salvation Army to provide Angel Trees for families in need this holiday season.
• All American Buffet, Southgate: Seeking new unwrapped toys to donate to First Step Domestic Violence Shelter. Toys may be dropped off at the business from December 7-21.
