Chicago is the third-largest city in the United States. This massive metropolis can be reached by entering Interstate 94 at it's Downriver interchanges and driving west for around four hours. Beware, though, of heavy traffic at many times of the day once you get closer to Chicago and especially within Chicago proper. Making matters worse, parking rates can be very expensive and often scarce. Even more confusingly, while the destination city the whole way west says "Chicago", heading back east, you will at first not find any mention of "Detroit" on highway signs. Just follow the signs reading "Indiana" until you actually enter Indiana, then you should start seeing "Detroit" as the destination, following that will lead you back to Downriver.

Downriver, and in fact, the entire Detroit area, somewhat has had historic economical ties with Chicago as a result of it's proximity.
