Michigan National Bank was founded in 1940 in Lansing. It merged with Troy-based Standard Federal Bank in 2001.

Downriver branches were at 1950 Dix Highway in Lincoln Park, now a Bank of America branch; and inside the Southgate Meijer store, which is now a Huntington National Bank branch. ATMs were also found inside the Meijer outposts in Taylor and Woodhaven.
