Prechter Boulevard runs from Allen Road northeast to Northline Road in northwest Southgate. Despite being an Interstate 75 service drive, it is a two-way boulevard, having been widened to that from it's original one-way northbound status in the late 1980's. Formerly known as East Frontage Road, it was renamed after Heinz Prechter after his suicide in 2001, due to his major commitment to this area of Southgate.
